Viewing: Grasping for the Wind: Humanity's Search for Meaning by John Whitehead

I have long been a fan of John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute. have also read three of his books: An American Dream, The End of Man, and The Second American Revolution.

Grasping for the Wind: Humanity's Search for Meaning, is a DVD series. It contains almost 4 hours of material but moves quickly, traversing several centuries of western history, looking at art, philosophy, music, film, and even politics. Is art shaped by culture, or is culture shaped by art?

Whitehead examines the decline of Western civilization from the Enlightenment to the present day. Comparing the various shifts in art and literature through the years, Whitehead explores the power of ideas to re-shape cultures. The series concludes with our current age, an era Whitehead labels The Narcissistic Culture. I have been following John Whitehead's work for a long time and Anyone interested in understanding the power of Worldview should consider a look at this DVD series and the books noted above.

Grasping for the Wind: Humanity's Search for Meaning is also available in book form.
