I am reminded of a brief conversational exchange in C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia.

One of the children is asking about Aslan."Is he safe?" she said.

"No," came the reply. "He is not safe, but he is good.

"That's how I feel about the people in this amazing story.
